RICHARD BEYEA: A PROVEN CONSERVATIVE

Richard Beyea is the proven conservative choice for Texas House District 87, the heart of the Texas Panhandle. As a Christian, devoted family man, small business owner, and experienced school board trustee, he possesses the trust and commitment needed to effectively advocate for Carson, Hansford, Hutchinson, Lipscomb, Moore, Ochiltree, Potter, and Sherman counties in Austin. We can rely on him to fight for small government, lower taxes, free markets, personal liberty, and traditional family values.

In 2008, Richard founded Remnant Energy, an energy exploration company that he owns and operates in the Texas Panhandle. Beyea also serves as the Chairman of the Panhandle Producers and Royalty Owners Association, where he has been a leader in the fight to protect local oil and gas businesses from overregulation at the state and federal level. He is a registered professional engineer and a long-time member of the Amarillo section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Richard has served eleven years as trustee of Perryton Independent School Board where he has focused on budget control, classroom innovation, and empowering parents and students. He has been an unwavering voice for conservatives, preventing leftist indoctrination, critical race theory, and inappropriate content in our curriculum and schools. He has also served on the Perryton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, where he sought to increase economic development and business growth in the Panhandle.

Richard has been married to his wife, Judy, for 37 years and together they have two grown daughters and a son. Together they attend First Methodist Church in Perryton.  Richard has served as a deacon, elder, and long term Sunday School teacher.
